We got a lovely surprise in our newspaper today. Four Pancake House menu pamphlets with 2 coupons each for their Best Taco in Town. For P128, you have 1 taco and 1 coke in can. It is inclusive of 12% VAT, but it is subject to 8% service charge so you end up paying a total of P138.25.

This promo is valid until June 30, 2011 and only available at Pancake House's branch at Banilad Town Center. MR must have thought about that when he stopped by after picking up our daughter and brought home a taco for me. This was my early dinner! Isn't he thoughtful?
I loved the way they prepared it; separating the tacos and the tomato-onion mixture and cheese. The taco was filled with meat and cabbage, while the tomatoes and onion were in one plastic container and the cheese in another. The tomato and onion mixture was very liquid-y so if they had mixed everything together the taco would have been ruined by the time it reached me at home.
The promo is a great advertisement for the establishment and might draw some people in. After all, we did on the same day we got the coupons! But I'm not sure if it's worth the price. We're at BTC every week so it's convenient for us but for those who aren't, I'm not sure. I was looking at the menu and if you get the regular Best Taco in Town it costs P98, which means they charge a coke in can for P30. If I ordered the regular taco and brought it home, I'd be saving money and if I was thirsty, I could always buy a cheap drink at the grocery store. I'd be saving like P5-P10, which is not much, but it also means the promo isn't really all that either.
