Hubby's Cooking: Beef Caldereta / Bakareta
Hubby has got it inside his head to make Beef Caldereta or Bakareta. And once he gets something in his head, he goes for it...right away!
So here we were with beef ribs, vegetables, and tomato sauce. And although this wasn't the Kaldereta "Royal" with the olives and what else, this was pretty damn good! With all the similar tomato sauce-based dishes (such as Menudo and Afritada), the addition of the liver spread makes the difference.
But the tip of the iceberg is definitely the quality of the meat. The beef was tender-fork and just melted in my mouth. In my opinion, this makes a huuuuggggeee difference! Let's face it, nobody wants tough meat in their dish! Thank you Hubby and more, more, more! Maybe the really special (with complete ingredients) one next time!
