I should have blogged about this sooner since it's been 2 months we did this, but I never had the time to. I always prioritized other posts and it was bumped time after time.
I found this Rice Krispies Treats "Holiday House Kit" at Rustan's Supermarket for half price (P100+) because the holidays were just over. I thought it was a pretty good deal. For that price, SM and I spent a fun afternoon making Rice Krispies from scratch and decorating them into pretty houses.
The Holiday House Kit consists of the Rice Krispies cereals, mini marshmallows, spice drops, 2 icing pens, house pan, and candy beads. All you have to add is butter! It makes 2 houses, so SM and I made one each and compared our work. We didn't decorate them as holiday houses, but they were decorated very nicely and made lovely homes!
The kit comes with a step by step instruction written on the back of the box. It is simple and easy to understand. Within 30 minutes, we had two house-shaped treats waiting to be decorated. But I have to admit some of the spicy drops and candy beads did not make past our mouths. Teehee! Just a simple sample tasting! :)
When everything was done, we were torn between eating our creation and keeping it as a keepsake!
