Sundays are reserved for my In-Laws. But my Mother-in-law called last night asking us not to come over today because she was having the electrician come over and change all the lines to new. The house was gonna be a mess.
We woke up feeling noticeably lost. It suddenly didn't feel like a Sunday anymore. After our routine (mass, BTC Sunday market, and lunch out), we had the rest of the day blank. But I was determined to do something. No one is gonna stay in bed, watch television, or even clean the house today!
I wanted to do something we don't usually do. So we went.....Bowling! ☺☺☺
I know of 2 places in Cebu that have bowling lanes, SM and Gaisano Country Mall. We opted for SM in order to do a little shopping, do some errands, and eat.
SM Bowling is located on the top floor of SM Cebu, where the cinemas are located. It's on one end of the building and quite easy to locate. After we did our shopping, which SM was very happy about (she got an early birthday gift), we were ready to bowl.
Rates for mornings and afternoons are different. In the morning, an hour of bowling is P400, while in the afternoon, you pay per game which is P90 per game, per person. Here's the computation of what we paid (we each played 2 games):
P90 + P90 = P180 + P30 (for the shoes?) = P210 x 2 (2 persons) = P420 (Total Payment)
The 2 games we played were done in a little over half an hour. So if you can, come in the MORNING! hehe!
The place was almost full when we got there mid-afternoon. Thankfully we were able to get a space, which looked like it was the last space available. SM Bowling Centre also has billiard tables if you prefer that and there is a food store and other shopping stores in you want to wander around or in my case, when your hands start getting sore after just the first game. LOL.
But we had a lot of fun! We dragged my dad with us, he didn't play of course, but he and SM were happy to be our cheerleaders. I am proud to say I lost to MR but not by much which I was shocked about. LOL. MR played good but at the cost of a sore arm (lasted for 3 days)! LOL.
Dad was happy about the next part of the day, which was dinner! In SM, he only wants to go to one place which is Pizza Hut Bistro. It is with reluctance that I nodded. I like Pizza Hut Bistro but it's the only place we ever go when we're in SM; I want to try something else for a change. But then again, it's my Daddy. ☺
Side Note: It is only when I was starting to write this post that I remembered how familiar this day was. Many many years ago, when I turned 9, 10, or 11 years old (I'm not that old now, I just don't remember hehe), my birthday party was held in SM. I had invited my whole class to a pizza party at Pizza Hut and Bowling afterward. That was fun. ☺
What a fun memory! Good thing you remembered!
