A week after our last Choi City affair, we were back here again! Can you believe that? LOL. I guess when we like a place, we really like it! ☺ And I got to use the coupons worth P350 they gave us. So instead of paying P1,635, we paid P1,285 only. But they gave us another coupon worth P100 so guess where we're coming back to eat soon? Choi City? You got it! Hehehe. ☺
Are we getting sick of Choi City's Imported Roast Duck (P375.00 for 1/4 order)? No, Nevah! ☺
Yang Chow Fried Rice (P220.00). You can't go wrong with this.
When we keep coming to our favorite restaurants, we like to order dishes that we previously had a good time with. But I also like to get at least one dish that is new. This is our something new today. The Beef Tenderloin Chinese-Style (P400.00). I got this because I really liked the Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce we got the week before. Like that, this beef tenderloin was tender, but resembled so much the typical sweet and sour sauce. If I had known this, I would have gotten the Black Pepper Sauce instead.
We don't necessarily need soup during our meals, but we do need noodles. With the Wanton Noodle Soup (P155.00), we got both components in one. The wantons were huge and you could tell that the broth was made from scratch with meat bones and not from those cubed or powdered broths.
The Dimsum dishes came in last. Like the Imported Roast Duck, the Fried Spring Roll (P75.00) is a staple in our table when we are eating at a Chinese restaurant with Dad. But unlike the duck, this was disappointing. It was very very oily!
But the Siao Long Pao (P100.00) came in and made up for the Fried Spring Roll. This is my favorite dish in Choi City. I have Siao Long Pao always in my mind. And these four little babies are all mine!☺
The Hakaw (P120.00) was good in flavor and filled with big shrimps, but I found that the wrapper was too thin and fragile. The Hakaws could barely make it to our mouths without splitting in half.
Here's that hand towel I mentioned before. See, whether you're having an private affair or a regular lunch, it's provided for you! SM had a Fresh Ripe Mango Shake (P80.00) to go with her food. I ended up finishing it for her because she didn't like its greenish color and she preferred Dad's Fresh Lemonade (P70.00), which was more sour than sweet! We also got a bottled water (P40.00) and of course, the complimentary hot tea!
In the other room of the ground floor, SM wanted to see the fish tanks, so I took her there after our meal. She was amazed by the fish and seafood swimming and asked where they were going. I didn't have the heart to tell her, "Uhmm, they're going to people's plates, Sweetie...."
