MR was out for work this morning when he called me close to noon time and told me to drop my kitchen knives because he's bringing us lunch at home. I wandered around the house for 45 minutes wondering what he was gonna bring me. And when he finally got here and dropped the bag on the kitchen counter I said, "Yay, Classic Savory! I couldn't have done it better" and gave him a great big kiss! I always love these kind of surprises! ♥
But MR must have thought he was feeding an army because he bought so much food! But that's okay, we finished it all at dinner.
Pork and Shrimp Dumplings (P245.00). I saw the receipt and thought it was expensive! But it was also good. I don't know if I would have gotten this though.
Crispy Shrimp Puffs (P225.00). Now this was totally worth the money! It's very similar to Camaron Rebosado. The shrimps were perfectly cooked, not overcooked or undercooked and very moist! It was almost creamy-like. I'm not sure if it's the perfect way to describe it but it's certainly how I tasted it. MR had some sauce to go with it, but I felt I didn't need any.
The next 2 dishes were some of MR's favorites. He loves Pancit Canton (P195.00) especially when it's cooked like this (with a lot of sauce). I, on the other hand, prefer when it's drier. Like in the Bam-I.
Another favorite of MR's. Sweet and Sour Pork (P195.00). I don't usually like Sweet and Sour unless it's with fish so I skipped this.
Lumpia Fried Vegetables (P130.00). This was a generous serving. I initially didn't know that it didn't have meat until I looked at the receipt. Totally fooled me.
I didn't say anything to my husband as I didn't want to spoil his surprise, but when I saw he bought from Classic Savory, I was secretly hoping inside that he had gotten the chicken too. Sssshhhh! ☺
