The Mickey's event started at 1PM and I wanted to be at least 1 hour before showtime so we had a super light lunch. The popcorn we ate at the event was very salty that we only ate about half of the box only so we were kinda hungry. When the show was done, my husband and I agreed we would grab a quick snack at the lobby of the hotel.
As you can see renovations are still going on at the grand lobby of the hotel. The last time we were here, they were working on the left side. This time works were going on the right side. I can't wait for them to reveal the new and grandeur lobby they are aiming for.
| Arroz Caldo with Chicken and Fried Shallots, Fried Garlic Bits, Fish Sauce, Boiled Eggs, and Spring Onions (P113.54++) |
It was quite chilly inside the Grand Ballroom and thankfully we wore long-sleeved shirts! I decided to get their Arroz Caldo because I remembered having it here before and it was quite good. Today's Arroz Caldo was as good as I remembered it to be. This is one of my ultimate comfort food (with lots of toppings and seasoning add-ons). Arroz Caldo is similar to the Chinese congee/porridge and is rice that is cooked in a ginger and chicken broth.

We also got a plate of their Club Sandwich, which came with French Fries. This was quite filling and possibly one of the best Club Sandwich I've had in Cebu so far.
Of course, I didn't forget Dad who was absent at today's events. So we bought two mini cakes, Passion Fruit Cake and the Chocolate Butter Truffle Cake, to share with him at home. I figured I would take pictures at home, but ended up totally forgetting about it! The Passion Fruit Cake was very good! The Chocolate Butter Truffle Cake was so-so for me, but that's just because I prefer fruit cakes (not the Christmas types ha) types.
This personal blog! I think waterfront is a great hotel!
