Another disappointing morning. Another disappointment for me. Lately, it seems that I just can't enough of those. I know it wasn't supposed to be easy, but come on, can't I have a little break? A little space to breathe in relief? I am frustrated! Frustrated with the system. I had all the papers on hand. Everything they asked me to bring the last time (that was a month ago!). So I was happy and excited this time, maybe it meant that I could finally be done with it and move on. But no, alas, the woman at the counter flat told me that I was still missing ONE document, which wasn't in the list they provided me last month. Plus since that time, there were other changes she informed me. I needed 2 more photos and 2 more adressed enveloppes. I had them on hand anyways in case something like this happened. But that ONE document, I didn't have. Boy, it's a bitch to exchange a driver's license here!
So I tried to console myself in buying a box of pastries for us at home. I bought 3 Tarte aux Myrtilles (Blueberry Tart with Meringue, a Raspberry Meringue Cake, and 5 Beignets Fourre (no pics of that though) for 16€.
I don't know how the Tarte aux Myrtilles tasted, as I had the Raspberry Meringue Cake. Both pastries looked beautiful. Mine was a cake rolled with raspberry mousse and covered in a soft meringue. It was good, but the meringue was too much for me. Too sweet, I guess. I can't say it helped me feel better at the end of the day. Maybe my disappointment was just too deep.
