Leeks with Creamy Vinaigrette


Oh my gosh! It just hit me that it's been 5 months since I've been here. I made that realization when my brother-in-law mentioned to my sister this afternoon that it's gonna be strange not to have me around when I'm gone. I took it as a compliment. I'm sure gonna miss this home and the people when I move to my own place (and the food too! he he he). 



One of my favorite vegetables aside from asparagus are leeks. I love the smell of it raw, but even more when cooked. Whenever DO makes a soup, I can always tell if she puts leeks when I enter the kitchen. Just like this afternoon. When I got home, DO was in the process of steaming some and I immediately had a smile on my face. For dinner, we had steamed leeks with a creamy herb vinaigrette. With a boiled egg to go with it. To my fifth month in France! Hoorah! :)
