The sun has been out for the past several days and it sure looks like it's here to stay! Out on our usual errands, I suggested to DO that we take a little break and enjoy a cup of coffee out on a terrace. Il font profiter du soleil, I told her. I got the idea from the news on the television which showed people enjoying their lunch and afternoon coffee at terraces in the nearby cities of Metz and Nancy. Just because we are living in a small village, doesn't mean we can't do the same!
Let's go, DO told me, and we settled ourselves at the Brasserie de la Republique which is located right on the main street of Morhange, France. We sat down at one of the tables of the terrace, but we were the only ones there! I guess people are hesitating to enjoy the first rays of sunlight - I think they should!

The sun was seriously harsh this afternoon. DO craved for a frappe, one she's had in Paris. I have missed Starbucks' Frappes too. She doubted it would be available here, but when the owner came to take our orders, she asked, secretly wishing for it. But no we don't make frappes, the owner answered with a tinge of laughter in his voice. We joked that he should think about that, but in the meantime we would love a cup of coffee (1.50€/cup) instead. Thank you for coming out this week, Mr. Sun, don't hide from us anymore!
