For this year's Lenten season, I sacrificed cheese, bread, and chocolates. Let me tell you this, it was tough! Especially when every meal in France has cheese and bread, and maybe sometimes Chocolates. But this was my personal sacrifice, something that I do every year for myself. I've resisted temptation and the memory that burned my mind was at lunch on one Thursday at LU's house; she had a irresistible new Le Rustique cheese that was just beautiful. It was bad enough that it was perfect-looking, but it smelled incredible too as I shook my head and passed the cheese platter to my neighbor!
I promised that as soon as Lenten season would end, I would buy one. No, actually, I made my sister promise that she would get me one! He he he! That's because she thought I'd never be able to resist the temptation! Ha, she doesn't know how hard-headed and determined I can be.
I was extra careful in choosing the cheese. With Camembert, you can go two ways - you get one that's fresh and amazing or you get one that's slightly older or off and get an extremely strong-smelling cheese. I got a really good one and it was amazingly gooey and not strong at all! With so many cheese available here, this is definitely one of my favorites.
