Good News, Finally!!!

After months of getting bad news, my luck has finally turned around. It all started with the wonderful news I received through mail the other day about my job exam, which I passed with flying colors. I am waiting to receive a mail for my next exam which is a Language and Informatics Evaluation.


Apart from that, I received again through mail my -wait for it - my French Driver's License!!! Yes!! After months of waiting, going to the Prefecture several times, and sending back numerous letters - I finally got it! I have my pink license and I'm proud of it. I've been driving with a one-year temporary license, but I'm so happy to finally be an official French driver. Now, I gotta be careful with the rules and keep my driving points (driving system in France works with points). You are given a number of points, every time you commit an error your points are subtracted, therefore no points = no driving.

My family back home in the Philippines are doing good. My husband, my dad, and my little girl are enjoying their two-day escapade in a hotel. Sadly, my mother-in-law is not doing good and her condition is deteriorating with each passing day. I am told that she is not suffering, but it still breaks my heart to think of her. My husband is stressed with taking care of our things back home, but he is managing well. By next week, they will be living with my in-laws and leaving our house.

But the best news of it all is that my dad is currently on the plane coming here. Actually his plane just landed in Doha, Qatar and will be in transit for two hours. I'm waiting for his call while I'm typing. He will be arriving in France early morning and I am taking the train to Paris to pick him up. I cannot wait to see him!!! Even if it means I have to wake up at 5AM, it still is one of the best day ever!!!!!
