Now that the period of the Girolles Mushrooms has passed, it is now time for the appearance of Zucchinis / Courgettes. I realized that when this morning I had 4 pieces of medium zucchinis / courgettes on the kitchen worktable - two from our own garden, the other two from AN's garden.

AN was planning on throwing it away since it was too big for her and her husband, but I told her I'd gladly accept it. I was thinking of making it au gratin or in a potage. I'm not a huge fan of zucchinis - maybe because I've only had it one way, in Dad's Couscous Royale. I'm pretty sure I can find another use for this baby. Hopefully, I'll like it. It's not as much as its taste bothers me - it's actually very mellow and neutral - but more of its texture when cooked. Let's just see, as I feel this is going to be a very Zucchini / Courgette filled week!
