Beef with Onion



We took advantage of SO being in school to go grocery shopping again today. I thought we already had everything we needed the last time we went shopping, but apparently we were missing stuff here and there. I'm pretty sure after hitting 2 different stores today that we are set for the month. With or without SO, it pretty much is the same thing. I have to admit that we are pretty lucky with her. Ever since, she has never threw a fit in public when we didn't buy her something she wanted. Of course, like any child, she'll point at sweets and toys when we pass by the aisle they are in and she will mention that she wants something. Sometimes I do get it, but other times when I tell I can't, she just lets it go. I've seen children in stores kicking and screaming and honestly, I wouldn't know how to act if she did that. I certainly would not tolerate that kind of attitude!


Beef with Onion is another kind of Asian dish that is super easy to make. Just make sure to have your ingredients prepared on-hand and waiting for you to use.



I used my new wok again today. Yey! I love my wok!



Heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add 2 sliced garlic and 1 smashed peeled ginger. Saute.



Add a handful of pearl onions. Saute.



Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir.



Slice the beef in strips.



Add the beef strips in the wok, as well as a handful of roughly chopped coriander.



Cover for 2-3 minutes.



Uncover and top with a dash of sesame oil and a teaspoon of black pepper.



Turn off the heat. Serve hot and enjoy!
