The French dessert Paris-Brest is my Dad's all-time favorite dessert. Since he insisted to buy me my favorite dessert for Mother's Day, I thought I'd do the same thing for him. The Paris-Brest is a popular French dessert. It is in the form a a crown / circle made by a pate a choux, which is stuffed by a praline cream, then topped with almond slivers and icing sugar.
This is a tricky dessert to make from scratch. So I was only too happy to pick one at the store, Thiriet. I've already had one from this store and it was delicious. Like I said it's a tricky dessert to make and I've seen some try and sadly fail. In Thiriet's case, and even though it is frozen, I find that if you follow their thawing instructions, the end result is pretty delicious. The Paris-Brest expert, Dad, did too.
