When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had cravings for Filipino Tinolang Manok and Bam-I, an aversion to chocolate, and a major craving for the television show, CSI. After weeks of being glued to the show, MR begged that I stopped watching and to find something else to preoccupy me. I turned to the movie, Da Vinci Code and I would watch it at least once a day until the end of my pregnancy. I don't know what it meant then, but I do know it meant that we had to make a visit to the Musée du Louvre in Paris this trip. Seeing my 6 year old daughter, SO, pose in front of the museum brought me back images of when I was 7 months pregnant with her and I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic.
But admittedly, my pregnancy craving wasn't the only reason why we decided to come here. This pit stop is a remarkable one and worth visiting.
Unfortunately, we were limited with time and a visit to Louvre shouldn't be done in an hour or two. Just admiring the outside took that long. A proper visit to Louvre should be enjoyed thoroughly. And slowly cherished. Like a good bottle of red wine.
So we looked around the stores by the entrance of the museum. Really nice shopping places. And then I stumbled on my one of my faves, Starbucks. Too bad there is no shop in Metz because in Paris, they seem to be everywhere I go. Kinda like back in Cebu, Philippines. I don't just love Starbucks for their coffee, I also like their fruit juices. Citron Vert / Green Lime and Mangue Passion / Mango Passion Fruit - both were iced and refreshing!
And then it was time to go see the outside. As disappointed as we were not to see the Mona Lisa and the Egyptian exhibit this trip, we were not disappointed with the outside.
No, we were definitely not disappointed ... ;)
