Villa Roma in Morhange, France

If yesterday I wrote about a place I like to go to when I am at work (click here for the post), today I thought I would post about a place close to home. This isn't the first time I wrote about Villa Roma in Morhange, France (click here and here) and truthfully it probably won't be the last time either. I can't stop gushing about this place!

I don't know how the place was before it reopened, but Villa Roma has apparently undergone several major changes. The interior design gives out a modern Italian feel, the personnel are very friendly and courteous, and the chef uses only fresh products (homemade pizza dough and pasta .... ). I have been here twice already, two times with friends, and I figured it was time for my husband, MR, to finally try this place out.

Apéro / Happy Hour / Cocktail Hour - whatever you want to call it. Nowadays, Martini Bianco is my choice of drink.

For his part, MR enjoys a glass of draft beer.
Villa Roma give out complimentary green olives, which goes perfectly with our drinks.

MR and I shared a Salade Perigourdine for our starter. Delicious!!!
Salade Perigourdine - foie gras toast, confit gizzards, smoked duck breast, green salad, and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette

Because I had the perfect beef steak the last time I was here (click here for the post), I wanted to experience the same satisfaction today.

Once again, the Entrecote / Rib-Eye Steak was everything I had hoped for and more.

MR had the Spinach and Salmon Lasagna, which he thoroughly enjoyed as well.

Having Villa Roma so close is without a doubt a very very good thing. Definitely makes it easier on lazy Saturday nights. Good food, not too expensive, and real close to home! :D
