I've been in France for 3 years now. How time flies ... In the past years, a lot has changed. At first, it was difficult to adjust, especially the first year and with the passing of my father, but these days I think we are doing well. MR has a good stable job and I am loving what I do. Although, speaking English all day and having American colleagues make me miss a lot. Back in the Philippines, the American influence was pretty quite evident, as seen by the gazillion number of McDonald's and products available. Here, it's another story. The nearest McDonald's is an hour away! And forget about American products. Which is why I thought I would go online to find answers to my problems and I did with My Little America.
Website My Little America (www.mylittleamerica.com)
The process is pretty simple. You go on their website, open an account with your email address, and click the items you want to add to your shopping cart.
Payments can be done using Paypal, American Express, Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and Maestro.
I had the items shipped to a pick-up place which was in this case an optical store in town. A couple of days after paying online for my order, I received a message that my package was ready for pick-up.
Once I was home, I was beyond ecstatic to open my package. Like a kid in a candy store. I can't help but wonder what I must have looked like to my 6 year old kid.
This is what I got for 41.77 Euros (+7.49 Euros for shipping). Almost 4 kilos of American goodness - best loot I've seen in a while!!!
The package had: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Combos Pretzel, Aunt Jemima Pancake Syrup, Arm and Hammer Baking Soda, Butterfinger Candy Bar, Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Morsels, Snapple Drinks, Hershey's Pieces, Coffee Mate, and Cheez-It Crackers.
