I've always said that the best kitchen tool one can have are their hands. It's particularly true when I have to knead dough, marinate meat or fish, or roll meatballs. But when summer comes around and it's salad season, my hands cannot unfortunately slice cucumber, celery, or carrots as thin as I would like. Point is I needed a food processor. Actually, I wanted a Kitchenaid, which is still a dream I hope to have someday, but I had to be reasonable as our current kitchen doesn't have much space. So instead, I opted for the Philips Food Processor HR 7761/00 (click here for the link), which doesn't take much space in my kitchen, but has been essential to prepare our meals lately.
The Philips Food Processor HR 7761/00 came with lots of useful accessories and in the past weeks, I've been able to make this:
Mayonnaise - this turned out good, but I still prefer how the mayonnaise comes out with the electric hand mixer (click here for the post).
Carrots in julienne for a Carrot Salad.
Pulsed cauliflower for Cauliflower Rice.
Sliced cucumber for a Cucumber Salad.
With the blender, we were able to enjoy a nice Fresh Strawberry Smoothie.
And then another time I added milk to the strawberries to make a Strawberry Milkshake. Yum!
Since then I've been using it to make lots of delicious dishes and my current obsession - fruit smoothies.
I have no regrets.
